The Paducah Area Chamber of Commerce Power in Partnership Breakfast on May 14 will recognize small business owners as part of its annual Small Business Month Celebration. CFSB is the presenting sponsor. (The breakfast is being held one week later due to the Mayor’s and Judge Executive’s Prayer Breakfast.)
The breakfast begins at 7:30 a.m. at the Paducah-McCracken County Convention Center. Pre-registration is required by Monday, May 11 at 2 p.m. at paducahchamber.org or by calling 270-443-1746. Power Card holders do not have to pre-register. The cost is $25.
The program will feature a panel of local small business owners. Panelists include: DeeAnn Bogaczyk of Blended Brews, Chamber Connector; Kevin Peck of PFGW Architects, 2025 Paducah Chamber Small Business of the Year; Carrie Signa of The Cork Room, Doe’s Eat Place and Max’s Brick Oven Café, 2025 Paducah Chamber Citizens of the Year alongside her husband, Paul Signa; and Mike Stone of Stone-Lang Company, longtime Chamber Member celebrating 150 years in business and a former Small Business of the Year award recipient.
“Our small businesses power our economy in a big way,” said Sandra Wilson, Chamber President/CEO. “Small businesses make up the majority of the Chamber’s membership, and we know how important it is to provide a variety of services that support their growth, emphasize buy local and help promote their products and services.”
About 20 small businesses will also participate with a booth display at the breakfast. The displays will be open from 7:00 a.m. to 9:30 a.m., and breakfast attendees are encouraged to visit booths before and after breakfast to meet each other, share business cards, and see how to do business together.
Additionally, Chamber members with 15 or fewer employees have been asked to submit a short 75-word bio about their business to the Chamber. Bios will be compiled and featured at the breakfast, and on the Chamber’s website and social media. From the bio submissions, the name of one small business will be drawn to receive one month’s use of a digital billboard located on Lone Oak Road and sponsored by Hibbs Insurance. Additionally, three names will be drawn to be highlighted during the breakfast.
To register for the breakfast or submit a bio, go to paducahchamber.org. The deadline is Monday, May 11.
