September Power in Partnership Breakfast will feature Secretary of the Kentucky Education and Labor Cabinet

The Paducah Area Chamber of Commerce’s Power in Partnership Breakfast on September 4 will feature speaker Jamie Link, Secretary of the Kentucky Education and Labor Cabinet. Whitlow, Roberts, Houston and Straub is the sponsor.

The program will also feature the results of the 2025 Annual Membership and Total Resource Campaign and the introduction of Leadership Paducah Class #39.

The breakfast begins at 7:30 a.m. at the Paducah-McCracken County Convention Center. Pre-registration is required by Tuesday, Sept. 2 by 2 p.m. at paducahchamber.org or by calling 270-443-1746. Power Card holders do not have to pre-register. The cost is $25.

Jamie Link was appointed Secretary of the Kentucky Labor Cabinet effective July 1, 2021. He assumed the added role as Acting Secretary of the Kentucky Education and Workforce Development Cabinet in November 2021 before his current role as Secretary of the newly merged Kentucky Education and Labor Cabinet, effective July 1, 2022.

Prior to these roles, in January 2020, Governor Andy Beshear appointed Link as Executive Director of the Kentucky Communications Network Authority. In this position, he oversaw the KentuckyWired statewide broadband project, which was completed in 2021. This project made Kentucky the only state in the nation with a statewide, middle-mile, high-speed broadband network, with access in all 120 counties.

Link’s distinguished public service career began in 1985. Over the years, he has held numerous leadership positions including Deputy Chief of Staff to former Governor Steve Beshear; Deputy Secretary of both the Kentucky Finance and Administration Cabinet and the Tourism, Arts and Heritage Cabinet; Executive Director of the Kentucky Horse Park; Commissioner of the Kentucky Department for Facilities Management; and Budget and Finance Director at the University of Kentucky. In addition to his public service, he served as CEO of the 2010 Alltech FEI World Equestrian Games held at the Kentucky Horse Park, which is the largest sporting event ever hosted in Kentucky.
