Paducah Chamber’s February breakfast will feature Paducah native Terence Williams with NASA

The Paducah Area Chamber of Commerce’s February 6th Power in Partnership Breakfast will feature as speaker Paducah native Terence Williams, Deputy Division Chief of Safety and Test Operations for NASA based in Houston, TX.  The breakfast is sponsored by the McCracken County Chapter of the NAACP and the McCracken County Community Career Endowment, and also honors Black History Month.

The breakfast begins at 7:30 a.m. at the Paducah-McCracken County Convention Center. Pre-registration is required by Monday, February 3rd at 2 p.m. at paducahchamber.org or by calling 270-443-1746. Power Card holders do not have to pre-register.  The cost is $25.  

Williams is a graduate of Paducah Tilghman High School and earned his Bachelor's degree in Mechanical Engineering from the University of Louisville in 1996. He began his career at NASA in the Mechanisms and Maintenance group. As an International Space Station (ISS) Flight Controller and instructor, he held leadership roles in Intra Vehicular Activity (IVA) Fit-Checks and ECLSS Systems. He served as Mockup Manager at the Space Vehicle Mockup Facility before becoming the Crew Systems Technical Lead and later the Environmental and Thermal Operating Systems (ETHOS) Specialist Group Lead. In 2015, he relocated to the Netherlands as the European Service Module (ESM) Integration Lead and returned in 2018 as the Flight Operations Directorate (FOD) Risk Coordinator for the Orion and Gateway programs. In summer 2024, he completed a rotation as Deputy Chief of the Johnson Space Center's Safety and Test Operations Division, focusing on the safety of astronauts and all personnel at the center. In December of 2024, Williams was permanently promoted to Deputy Division Chief of Safety and Test Operations.
