Kentucky Governor Andy Beshear will be the featured speaker for a luncheon hosted by the Paducah Area Chamber of Commerce on Monday, January 13 as part of its Public Policy Series. The Chamber’s 2025 Public Policy Series, which gives the business community access to legislative leaders, issues and information, is sponsored by Four Rivers Nuclear Partnership and Swift & Staley.
Governor Beshear is in his second term having first been elected in 2019. He served as the state’s Attorney General from 2015 to 2019. He was elected in December by the nation's Democratic governors as vice chair of the Democratic Governors Association for 2025, wherein he will serve as chair-elect in 2026. Governor Beshear recently accepted an invitation to speak at the World Economic Forum in Switzerland later this month. The Governor was invited to attend and speak at the World Economic Forum’s 2025 Annual Meeting, which will be held January 20-24 in Davos, Switzerland. This is a global event that brings together business, government and academic leaders to improve the state of the world. The Governor and a delegation from Team Kentucky will travel for the event and also visit with business leaders in Spain to promote his “New Kentucky Home” marketing campaign and encourage future investment and job-creation in the commonwealth.
