Leadership Paducah Class #37 presented a total of $135,725 to New Pathways for Children during the Paducah Area Chamber of Commerce July 11 Power in Partnership Breakfast. The class chose New Pathways in the fall of 2023 to be the beneficiary of their project.
New Pathways is a residential non-profit that rescues children from abuse, neglect and homelessness and brings them into a safe, caring home where their needs are met.
With these funds, New Pathways will furnish the newly constructed Burse Family Home with beds, dressers, desks and everything else needed. With the ability to serve more children at New Pathways, this project also provides the funds to purchase a 15-passenger van to meet their growing transportation needs.
“We saw how this project had the power to transform lives. We knew this was our chance to invest in the next generation, to show these children that there are indeed Pathways Forward for them, ensuring a brighter and more secure future and providing them with a safe haven, filled with warmth and hope,” said class member Josh Bewley during the presentation.
Ricky Burse, Executive Director, and David Simmons, Director of Development and Marketing, with New Pathways for Children accepted the check on behalf of the organization. Burse thanked the class for all their hard work on this project.
Leadership Paducah is a program of the Paducah Area Chamber of Commerce, under The Leadership Center. There are more than 1,100 graduates of the program.
