PADUCAH, Ky. – A reliable supply chain is critical to ensure the safe and efficient cleanup of the former Paducah Gaseous Diffusion Plant at the U.S. Department of Energy’s (DOE) Paducah Site. DOE has expressed interest in expanding the current supply chain to increase participation from vendors in the area.
Four Rivers Nuclear Partnership, LLC (FRNP), a contractor at the DOE Paducah Site, is partnering with DOE’s Supply Chain Management Center (SCMC) to provide opportunities for small and local businesses in the region. The SCMC works with DOE and their contractors to develop purchasing agreements, saving time and money.
The Paducah Area Chamber of Commerce is hosting an opportunity for businesses to learn more. A luncheon and workshop will be held on Thursday, July 18th from 11:30 a.m. to 1 p.m. at the Commerce Center, 300 South 3rd Street, in Paducah, in the Paducah Bank Community Room. Attendees will hear from representatives of DOE, SCMC and FRNP about how businesses can grow outside of their traditional markets.
Lunch is sponsored by Four Rivers Nuclear Partnership. There is no cost to attend but registration is required. Register at paducahchamber.org
