Leadership Paducah Class #34 has been announced by the Paducah Area Chamber of Commerce. Class members will take part in a nine-month educational course that began with orientation on August 20 and the first full day of Professional Development on September 3 in the Paducah Bank Community Room at the Commerce Center.

For over 30 years, the Chamber’s Leadership program has been cultivating leaders, producing more than 900 graduates from this highly competitive, informative and results-oriented development program.

The 42-member class, the largest in the program’s history, will continue to meet each month until their graduation in June. Sessions will cover topics such as media, government, education, public safety, economic development, arts, health and human services and leadership development.

Chamber President Sandra Wilson said, “Operating a leadership development program in the era of COVID-19 has resulted in important changes to protect the safety and well-being of those in the program. We have implemented social distancing and health-based protocols based on Kentucky’s “Healthy at Work,” and the CDC guidelines.

“Despite the challenges COVID-19 presents, the Chamber is committed to fulfilling the mission of the program and delivering an exceptional learning experience for the participants whether through safe in-person activities or within a virtual capacity,” Wilson added.
