The Paducah Area Chamber of Commerce will discuss their 2020 State Legislative Priorities and hear from five area state legislators at a Public Policy Breakfast on Wednesday, December 11. The event will be held at the Commerce Center, 300 South 3rd Street, in the Paducah Bank Community Room, beginning at 7:30 a.m. Reservations are required and the cost to attend is $20 for the breakfast.
The Paducah Chamber’s Public Policy Series gives the business community access to legislative leaders, issues and information and is sponsored by Swift & Staley and Four Rivers Nuclear Partnership. Cory Hicks, Vice Chair of Business Advocacy for the Paducah Chamber Board, will review the Chamber’s priorities for the 2020 Session and each legislator will speak about the upcoming session.
Speakers include Sen. Danny Carroll, Rep. Randy Bridges, Rep. Chris Freeland, Rep. Richard Heath, and Rep. Steven Rudy.
Sen. Carroll is in his second term and represents McCracken, Ballard and Marshall Counties. Rep. Bridges is completing the first year of his first term. He represents the 3rd District that includes the city of Paducah and McCracken County. Rep. Freeland represents the 6th District including a portion of McCracken County and Lyon and Marshall Counties. This is his first year of his first term. Rep. Heath was elected in 2012 for the 2nd District and represents a portion of McCracken County and Graves County. Rep. Rudy is in his 8th term and represents a portion of McCracken County and Ballard, Carlisle, Hickman and Fulton Counties.
