David S. Beck, President and CEO of Kentucky Venues, will be the featured speaker for the February 7th Power in Partnership monthly breakfast of the Paducah Area Chamber of Commerce. The breakfast begins at 7:30 a.m. at the Julian Carroll Convention Center and Lundberg Medical Imaging is the sponsor.
A Lyon County native and Murray State University graduate, David Beck began his tenure as President and CEO of Kentucky Venues on July 1, 2018. Kentucky Venues operates the Kentucky Exposition Center (KEC), the Kentucky International Convention Center (KICC) and produces the Kentucky State Fair, North American International Livestock Exposition and National Farm Machinery Show.
Beck’s vision for Kentucky Venues includes reimagining facility use, bringing together urban and rural communities and forming strategic partnerships across the state. He not only wants to preserve the rich tradition of Kentucky Venues but also enhance it for future Kentuckians and guests.
Prior to his role at Kentucky Venues, Beck worked at Kentucky Farm Bureau (KFB) for 41 years including as Chief Executive Officer. He is involved in the Louisville community and is a member of several organizations including the Kentucky Ag Council, the Kentucky Fair Council, Friends of Kentucky 4-H, and more. He also sits on the board for Louisville Tourism.
In 1992, he was selected Outstanding Agriculture Alumnus of the Year by the Murray State University Agriculture Alumni Association and in 2016 was named a Distinguished Alumnus.
