Tammy Zimmerman, President/CEO of Payment Plus, has been elected to serve as the 2017 Chair of the Board for the Paducah Area Chamber of Commerce. Bruce Wilcox, President of Henry A. Petter Supply Company, LLC, who served as Chair in 2016 will serve as Immediate Past Chair. Leon Owens, Chief Operating Officer with Swift & Staley, has been elected as Chair-elect.
Zimmerman’s term begins on January 1 but the gavel will officially be passed to her at the Chamber’s Annual Meeting and Business Celebration on January 27 to be held at the Julian Carroll Convention Center.
Zimmerman is Founder/CEO of Payment Plus, Inc. a payment processing provider based in Paducah. Before founding Payment Plus, she was a founding member of a NYSE publically traded company, NOVA Information Systems, Inc., (now Elavon) in Atlanta, GA. She has been active with the Paducah Chamber for several years and most recently chaired the Annual Membership Campaign, which pushed the Chamber membership total to record heights. Zimmerman also serves as a board member of Baptist Health Paducah Hospital and Baptist Health Paducah Foundation, is a past co-chair of the Elavon Advisory Council and served in an Emeritus role. She holds a certified John Maxwell Speaker and Coaching certification. She is a graduate of the University of Louisville.
