A political forum for the Kentucky House District 3 and Paducah Mayoral candidates will be the program for the Paducah Area Chamber of Commerce Power in Partnership breakfast on October 13 at 7:30 a.m. The breakfast is being held the second week of October due to the local schools Fall Break the first week of October. The event will be held at the Julian Carroll Convention Center. Paducah Bank is the sponsor.
Todd Faulkner, WPSD Local 6 News Anchor, will serve as the moderator for the forum. The program will feature the District Three House race with Rep. Gerald Watkins (D) and challenger Joni Hogancamp (R) and Paducah Mayoral race with Mayor Gayle Kaler and challenger Brandi Harless.
A media panel with representatives from WPSD Local 6, The Paducah Sun, WKMS and WKYX will ask questions of the candidates. Each candidate will also give opening and closing statements.
Attendees are asked to arrive early as the program will begin promptly at 7:30 a.m. and will be asked to follow these guidelines:
- No campaign banners, brochures, buttons, pens or other campaign materials or promotion activities will be permitted by attendees or candidates.
- Supporters must be respectful and courteous. No unruly behavior will be allowed. Those who do not follow these rules will be asked to leave.
- Recorded images may not be utilized for advertising or marketing purposes by the candidates or their campaigns
- The audience will be asked to remain silent during the Forum and to refrain from responding to any candidate’s answers or comments.
