US Senator Rand Paul, M.D., will be the featured speaker for the September Power in Partnership monthly breakfast of the Paducah Area Chamber of Commerce on September 1 at 7:30 a.m. at the Julian Carroll Convention Center. AT&T is the sponsor. Leadership Paducah Class #30 will also be introduced.
Senator Paul was elected to the United States Senate in 2010. Prior to that he owned his own ophthalmology practice and performed eye surgeries for 18 years in Bowling Green. Dr. Paul and his wife, Kelley Ashby Paul, of Russelville, have three sons, William, Duncan and Robert. In 1995, Dr. Paul founded the Southern Kentucky Lions Eye Clinic, an organization that provides eye exams and surgery to families and individuals in need of care. He is a former president and 17 year member of Lions Clubs International. During his free time, he currently performs pro-bono eye surgeries for patients across Kentucky. Most recently he traveled to Guatemala and Haiti on a medical mission trip with the Utah’s Moran Eye Center.
