Chamber's Annual Meeting & Business Celebration

The Paducah Area Chamber of Commerce will have their Annual Meeting and Business Celebration on January 29, at 6 p.m., at the Julian Carroll Convention Center. The presenting sponsors are Lourdes and CSI. The theme for this year is “Celebrating Generations of Success.”  

Local businesses and citizens will be recognized with the Chamber’s annual awards. New this year are two categories for Business of the Year and a Generations in Business Award.   

The Leadership Paducah Foundation will present the Outstanding Leadership Alumnus Award. The Paducah Sun Business Journal will present the Young Leaders Award. Bryan Carner with US Bank and 2015 Chair of the Board will pass the gavel to Bruce Wilcox with Henry A. Petter Supply as the 2016 Chair of the Chamber Board. New officers and board members will be recognized.  

The entertainment is keynote speakers generational expert Meagan Johnson and her Baby Boomer father, Larry Johnson. They will entertain and educate about the multi-generational workforce with the theme “Business in the Front, Party in the Back - Celebrating Generational Differences @ your Company and @ Home.” They will entertain with how to better connect with all five generations currently in the workforce. This high energy program is sure to provide a new perspective and many laughs. Based on their best-selling book, Generations Inc., they present the generational differences and solutions from both sides of the generational coin. Larry Johnson is a speaker, author, and corporate culture expert and co-author of the highly acclaimed, top-selling book, Absolute Honesty: Building A Corporate Culture That Values Straight Talk And Rewards Integrity. Meagan Johnson speaks to audiences all over the world on how they can manage and motivate different generations in the workforce.

The emcees for the evening are Suzanne Farmer with Lourdes and Mike Mallory with News Channel 6. The dinner will include strolling stations featuring a variety of food selections.

The reservation deadline is January 19, by 5 p.m. Tickets will not be sold at the door. Tickets are: $75/members; $125/non-members. Corporate sponsorships or reserved tables of eight for $1,000 are also available by contacting the Chamber.
