During the Paducah Chamber’s Business to Business EXPO on October 15 there will be two seminars presented that are open to the general public. The seminar topics include the Chamber’s new online tool, SizeUp for Local Business Intelligence, and critical skills needed by those working in sales. The Chamber’s EXPO will be held on Thursday, October 15 from 2 to 6 p.m. at the Paducah Expo Center and is free and open to the public. The seminars will be held in the Madison Room, there is no charge to attend and pre-registration is not required.    

The seminars include: 

2:15 p.m. – “SizeUp” – Information will be presented on a free online tool designed to help local businesses through data analysis. SizeUp for Local Business Intelligence allows businesses to easily obtain highly specific data on revenues, salaries, health insurance costs, supplier location and more. SizeUp super crunches millions of data points from public and private sources to enable business owners to benchmark themselves against competitors, find the best places to advertise, and map their competitors, customers, and suppliers. Presenters are Chris Wooldridge, MSU Small Business Development Center, and Dan Lazarevic, Kentucky Innovation Network.  

3:15 p.m. – “Two Critical Skills No Salesperson can be Without” - The skills featured in this seminar are proven to help improve sales techniques. This will be an engaging session with role play, audience participation, self-assessment and specific action steps. Presenters are Jim Pape and Jessica Toren with Workforce Solutions at WKCTC. 

More than 70 local businesses are participating in the Paducah Chamber’s Business to Business EXPO with presenting sponsor Nissan of Paducah. Other row sponsors of the EXPO include Anchor Transportation, ATMOS Energy, Dialog Telecommunications, Payment Plus, Henry A. Petter Supply/Petter Business Systems, and SilkWorm.

From 4 to 6 p.m. a Mix & Mingle will be held with free refreshments served from participating Chamber restaurants. Over 500 people typically attend the show. Door prizes include two round trip air tickets from Paducah to Chicago on SkyWest Airlines, an iPad3 Mini, a YETI products package and additional items the vendors donate.
