Leadership Paducah Presentation to Merryman House
July 2, 2015 --- Leadership Paducah Class #28 recently presented Mary Foley, Executive Director of the Merryman House, with $42,200 raised as their class project. Members of the class made the presentation at the July Paducah Chamber Power in Partnership Breakfast. Jay Hite, who served as treasurer for their fundraising project, announced the total amount to a standing ovation from the Breakfast attendees.
“Thank you just does not seem adequate when compared to the gift we have been given,” said Foley. “The money raised by the Leadership Paducah Class 28, represents so much more than the dollar amount given…and yet, the dollar amount given was AMAZING! It represents the support of the business community as well as the community as a whole. I am both humbled and grateful. The money will be earmarked for the acquisition and development of a new emergency shelter and campus to assist survivors of domestic violence on their journey to healing and wholeness. Thank you for investing in the saving, building and changing of lives!”
