Small Business

Small businesses are important to the Paducah Chamber with about two/thirds of our members employing 25 employees or less. The Chamber has as an initiative in our Strategic Plan to strengthen our partnership with small businesses by providing statistical data, celebrations, recognition, seminars, and establishing an advisory group.

And we want to hear from our small business members!

If you are a small business owner, we invite you to submit a short 75-word bio about your business.

These bios will be compiled and distributed at the May Power in Partnership Breakfast. Of those submissions we will randomly select 3 businesses to be featured during that same breakfast.

From all the bio submissions, one lucky small business will be drawn to receive one month use of a digital billboard located on Lone Oak Road and sponsored by Hibbs Insurance.

In addition to our Salute to Small Business breakfast, four seminars will be held during May focused on small business interests and concerns.

2018 DC Fly-In Small Business Scholarship

The Paducah Chamber is pleased to announce a scholarship available to a small business owner to participate in the 2018 D.C. Fly-In on Wednesday, September 12 –Thursday, September 13. During these annual visits to our Nation’s capital, we advocate for our community and our region for projects and public policies that will have a positive impact on our citizens and our businesses.
During this trip we will meet with Kentucky’s Congressional delegation and federal agencies that are important to our community’s future, including the Department of Energy, Department of Transportation, Federal Aviation Agency and national arts organizations. In addition, participants have an “inside look” into what is happening in D. C., build valuable relationships with Washington decision-makers, spend time with other community leaders from our area and, most importantly, BE OUR COMMUNITY’S VOICE.

The scholarship will include the trip registration, two nights in the Hyatt Regency Hotel, airfare from Barkley Regional Airport, and many of your meals. Incidental expenses are not included, such as ground transportation. A Selection Committee will review each application. All applications will be kept confidential. In addition to this application, an in-person or phone interview may be requested.
