2022 Annual Award Nomination Form

The Paducah Area Chamber of Commerce will recognize the contributions made by local businesses and individuals to our organization and the community at our 2022 Annual Meeting and Business Celebration on Friday, January 28, 2022. 

Eligible businesses must be members in good standing of the Paducah Chamber for at least two years. Award recipients will be chosen by a selection committee appointed by the Chamber officers with the exception of the Leadership Paducah Alumnus Award, which is selected by a committee appointed by the Leadership Paducah Alumni Association Board. All selections will be kept confidential until the awards presentation on January 28. Any award winner in the past five years is not eligible for an award in the same category. Businesses may nominate their own business for an award. All awards may not be presented. The selection committee will make the final decision. Nominations will be accepted for the following awards:

NOMINATION DEADLINE: Monday, December 20, 5 p.m.

BUSINESS OF THE YEAR (more than 15 employees) or SMALL BUSINESS OF THE YEAR (15 employees or less)

  • Business has demonstrated staying power with a substantial history as a successful business for at least five years
  • Business has achieved growth in measurable areas – sales, high retention of employees, or other benchmarks to determine impact on job market
  • Must have demonstrated one or more of the following characteristics:
    • Exceptional performance and growth
    • Innovative products or services
    • Exemplary customer service
    • Response to adversity
    • Community involvement

ENTREPRENEUR OF THE YEAR

  • Nominee should be an established business or an individual who has established a business within the past five years
  • Recognized for innovative products or services
  • Demonstrates community involvement
  • Exceptional performance and growth

NON-PROFIT ORGANIZATION OF THE YEAR

  • Nominee must be a non-profit 501(c)(3) organization (in operation at least two years) that has developed a close partnership with the Paducah/McCracken County area as a means to achieve its mission
  • Must be a continued example of service to our community in providing goods or services that improve quality of life

CHAMBER VOLUNTEER OF THE YEAR (2021 Board members are not eligible)

  • Embodies the ideals of volunteerism and provided leadership in a key area
  • Made significant contributions towards the goals and mission of the Chamber
  • Donated time and/or resources willingly and enthusiastically to the Chamber

SUMMIT AWARD or CITIZEN OF THE YEAR AWARD (not awarded every year)

  • Significant volunteer and financial contribution to the community
  • Excellent business practices
  • Excellent leadership skills

LEADERSHIP PADUCAH ALUMNUS AWARD

The Board of Directors established the Outstanding Leadership Alumnus Award to recognize the civic contributions of former Leadership Paducah program participants who have come to embody the best of the program’s ideals. The ideal recipient of this award can be described in the following ways:

  • Sought out opportunities to improve the Paducah Area Community
  • Innovative
  • Willing to take risks to achieve the goal
  • Stepped up to the task, took responsibility for an important initiative benefiting the community
  • Enthusiastic
  • Skillful communicator
  • Inspired others to assist in the process of accomplishing the vision
  • Lead by example
  • Provided encouragement and recognition to those who worked together to accomplish the goal
  • Contributed his/her own time to accomplish these criteria, it was not the requirement of a paid position

NOTE:   Young Leader Award is being coordinated by The Paducah Sun Business Journal.
