Paducah Mayor Brandi Harless and McCracken County Judge Executive Bob Leeper will be the featured speakers for the January Power in Partnership monthly breakfast of the Paducah Area Chamber of Commerce. The annual “State of the City and County” event will be held on January 4 at 7:30 a.m. at the Julian Carroll Convention Center. The Paducah-McCracken County Joint Sewer Agency is the sponsor.
Brandi Harless is completing her first year as Mayor of Paducah. She is the CEO/Co-Founder of Personal Medicine Plus whose mission is to help primary care providers expand their revenue by helping patients prevent diabetes and hypertension. The company’s first product, PreventScripts, will launch in 2018. Harless and her husband recently renovated the historic building on the corner of third and Broadway, the first location of Citizens Savings Bank. The building is now home to Citizens Gym, Highwater Freshbar, and Reside Apartments. Mayor Harless has a bachelor’s degree from Vanderbilt University and a master’s degree in public health from Boston University. She is a recent graduate of the Delta Regional Authority Executive Leadership Academy and Leadership Kentucky.
Judge Bob Leeper was elected McCracken County Judge Executive in 2014. He is a former member of the Kentucky State Senate, representing District 2 from 1991 through 2014. He previously served as Mayor Pro Tem and Commissioner for the City of Paducah. He attended Sherman College of Chiropractic and Paducah Community College.
Leon Owens, the new 2018 Chair of the Chamber Board, will also provide introductions and brief remarks.
