Advocacy - Government Affairs

Governmental Affairs

Looking for representation that counts?  The Chamber invests much time and energy into being the voice of the Paducah / McCracken County business community!  We are one of only three Chambers in the Commonwealth of Kentucky that employs a lobbyist on both the state and federal levels to assist us as we represent our business community on issues that negatively impact the business climate.

We work hard to build positive relationships with our local, state and federal elected officials by working together and speaking in one strong voice on the issues and concerns that will affect our community and our region.  In addition, the Paducah Chamber studies and analyzes proposed legislation that is important to the economic health of the Paducah / McCracken County community and the region and takes advocacy positions on these issues.

To assist our members and our community in making informed decisions on local, state and federal political races, the Governmental Affairs Committee coordinates candidate forums that ask the important questions and allow the candidates to communicate their positions on issues important to the business community.
